Yesterday was my last day for my NetApp contract[1]. After saying goodbye to the team on Slack, one of my coworkers responded with the quote below.
Take care! It was great getting to work with you and learn a lot about nuances in CSS/browser compatibility especially. You taught me a good bit there. Thanks for all the hard work and I wish you well wherever you end up next.

Obviously I enjoyed reading this because the quote is very flattering, but it's also nice knowing I was able to have a positive impact on the team. I am older than most of the team I worked with day to day, and one of my favorite aspects of my job was mentoring the younger people.
